Work

Located centrally in Toronto, our workshop handles the design and fabrication of custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, and furniture for residential and commercial spaces. In-house woodworking, CNC machining, and finishing capabilities allow us to manage a wide range of work under one roof, including detailed cabinetry packages, custom architectural elements, and one-off furniture pieces.

Marshall founded the studio in 2018 after several years working in the millwork and residential construction industry, following his studies in Humber College’s Industrial Woodworking program. His experience in both fabrication and construction has provided a broad understanding of the relationship between design, materials, and the building process.

Throughout his career, Marshall has gravitated toward projects that take him outside the usual scope of woodworking. Alongside his work in the shop, he has built a cabin, house, sauna, and canoe, each requiring a different set of materials, tools, and construction methods. That curiosity carries into his work today, where experimenting with new techniques and finding different ways to build remains a big part of the process.

  • Our workshop is based in Toronto, and we primarily work throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We also take on projects outside the GTA, including Muskoka, the Kawarthas, and other areas across Southern Ontario, depending on the scope and location of the project.

  • While we do not have a strict minimum project size, smaller projects can have a higher relative cost due to the design, preparation, and fabrication time involved. We are happy to discuss projects of various scales to determine if they are a good fit.

  • Yes. We can work from architectural drawings, design drawings, or even a napkin sketch to develop a project and establish preliminary pricing. Before fabrication begins, we take field measurements and produce our own detailed shop drawings for approval, ensuring the final work is properly documented and fitted to the space.

  • Yes. We work with professional colour and stain matching specialists to integrate new work with existing cabinetry, millwork, and finishes whenever possible.

  • While we are not set up for large-scale institutional projects, we do work on smaller commercial projects including custom fixtures, retail environments, and unique built elements.

  • Pricing depends on the size and scope of the project, material selection, and level of detail. Custom cabinetry typically represents a higher investment than prefabricated products due to the level of customization and fabrication involved. We provide transparent estimates and detailed quotes, and encourage you to reach out with your project.

  • Project timelines vary depending on the scope and complexity of the work. Smaller projects may take a few weeks, while larger projects can require several months to complete. We recommend reaching out as early as possible to ensure availability within our production schedule. As a smaller shop, our schedule can fill up depending on the number and scale of active projects.
